While working with my client today, she commented that one of her clients inquired about whether a particular business owner she referred had a website or an email address to be contacted at.

In this particular case, this business owner did not have a website, having grown her business based on word of mouth.

It is always amazing to me who has a web site or not.  With nearly 75 percent of people in the United States accessing the Internet (source), it does not surprise me when someone asks me “What’s the website’s address?”

That is one of the reasons I got into this business, because there are those small business owners who are in need of a web site for one reason or the other.

Regardless of their reasons, I like to think of myself as a beacon of light in the darkness, once I place my clients in my care, the darkness will roll back like the tide when new potential customers arrive at their website.

In any case, it got me to thinking, why not make a simple budget-friendly, quality user-friendly website for those who are just starting out.

In the screenshot provided (which you can click on to see in full view), I created a custom portfolio for those who wanted to showcase their work without displaying an extensive portfolio along with a brief introduction about their products and/or services.

It could be anyone from an aspiring freelance model to a photographer to a service provider such as a wedding cake designer working out of their home.

Where?

You have the option to put your website on my company’s host server account for $10 per year.  With the average shared hosting plan offered by most web hosting companies ranging from $4.95 to $12.95 per month, this is the most sensible, economical solution if you are not planning on expanding your website beyond the home page at any point in the near future.  This option is available for up to three years in advance which will allow you to control your Internet budget.

When?

Since it is a one page website, depending on the start date of your project, this service will be completed within 7 to 14 days.
